In 1999, Greg and Lori Noland built a ranch and home out in a rural area of Groveland, Florida, where everybody, it seems, knows everybody else. To say it's remote is a bit of an understatement: Though only 32 miles from Orlando, the ranch itself rests at the end of a dirt road spanning nearly two and a half miles. Surrounded by the embrace of nature and the type of verdure only Florida can produce, the picturesque ranch is a haven for the whitetail deer that consider it their home.
Having owned and worked in a successful roofing company for a decade and a half, the Nolands decided that it was time to take on a challenge that had been a long time in consideration: To be one of the first breeders in Florida to breed a 300 inch deer, done almost entirely through artificial insemination. After all, they are no strangers to hard work, having built and sustained their own business before. Still, the realization of their dream will not be easy.
Knowing that their goal hinged upon using the best quality of everything, they set about creating the most strategic and well-planned process (taking over five years of preparation before starting) for breeding their goal. After investing hundreds of thousands of dollars in the farm, they now boast of the most effective, state-of-the-art breeding and handling facility available. With it, the 300 inch deer is almost guaranteed.
The Noland family has always had a passion for deer, from hunting trips to their newest endeavor at breeding. Everyone in the family of three sons and one daughter participates in this newest endeavor, making this an authentically family owned operation.

As I look at my land so vast and wide,
My heart is filled with love and pride.
I bend and take hold of a handful of earth,
And I can see the future and what it's worth.
As the sun starts to dip in the evening sky,
Life is what you make it so you have to try.
So with my family beside me we all look around,
And take in nature's beauty and all of its sound.
We are looking at a blank canvas of what will be,
And my wife, our children, and I all finally see.
What a lot of hard work we all have to do,
To secure our future and make our dreams come true.
So we began our journey by building our home,
Nestled in Florida’s beauty where the deer freely roam.
We began in 1998 and by 2000 it was complete,
And we marveled at all of the odds we beat.
From a wooded lot we all took a chance,
With our own hands we built the Noland Ranch.
We’ve always loved to hunt the whitetail deer,
Through the wide-lens scope we used to peer
At the majestic creatures that roam through our land,
With their antlers heavy they take a stand.
So it was then we decided to take another chance,
And make a deer farm upon the Noland Ranch.
Not just any deer that one could see,
High up in the branches of a hunter's tree.
But deer only bred from quality genes,
So we decided to learn exactly what that means.
So after years of learning all we could know,
And buying the best stock of whitetail buck and doe,
We bottle fed each fawn so it would grow big and strong,
Through our state-of-the-art AI Program we can’t go wrong.
Because we select only the biggest and the best,
We will be the biggest 300 inch deer farm—that’s our test.
We know it will happen; we are almost there,
We are a family owned ranch of people who care.
